Business Development Director: 

The director of business development helps to build the  capacity for the future through the planning and implementation of all sales activities and relationship building in the nonprofit sector. In this capacity, the director of business development works closely with the CEO to determine goals and budgets for all funding opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must embrace the mission of Grant Options

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

  • Have knowledge and experience in nonprofit programs and grant components

  • Successful experience in Sales

  • Ability to interacts with business and community leaders

  • Cultivation of new prospects

  • Familiarity with resources and current research in sales

  • Ability to lead the organization toward budgetary goals

  • Possess organizational skills to balance out of the office appointments with in-office responsibilities

  • Be a self-starter and goal driven

  • Exceptional follow through on tasks

  • Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense and good listening ability

  • 1 year minimum experience in Sales

  • Possess a good sense of humor, and commitment to the Grant Options team

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively prospect and meet with potential clients

  • Cultivate clients

  • Coordinate development events

  • Oversee prospect research and outreach

  • Work closely with the CEO

  • Make public appearances/accept speaking engagements to share information about the organization with the community

  • Lead Development and Event  meetings

  • Manage client database and tracking systems

  • Supervise and collaborate with other staff

  • Create and manage development efforts

  • Demonstrate professional conduct

  • Perform other related duties as requested
